[ m ] marc lago is the Barcelona-based contemporary brand for women and men by Marc Lago, Galician working in Catalonia.

 

Marc's aesthetic has been heavily influenced by cinema, an appreciation for the old fashion, Scandinavian design and contemporary art as well as cultures and traditions of his born place in the north of Spain; with an important sea culture, Celtic heritage full of lush forests; very different of the rest of the country.

 

[ m ] marc lago is typified by the modern but very personal nature of the designs. Each collection reflects the designer's vision of this personal idea of fashion. The goal is to find an equilibrium between the contemporary and the classic, creating aesthetic and timeless pieces using the traditional an artisan techniques.

 

Every piece is created by Marc in his atelier, one-to-one.

While exploring new ways of cutting patterns, creating interesting silhouettes, searching fine details, allowing traditional ways of dressing to exist with alongside modern styles. Innovative and experimental patterns are developed for each individual piece. Although the garments may appear simple the actual construction is the result of a long process and an exhaustive study of the forms.
